Third Rule of E-business

Inability to overthrow the dominant, outdated business design often leads to business failure.

Perhaps the greatest threat the companies face today is adjusting to nonstop change in order to sustain growth. Constant change means organizations must develop the ability to detect emerging trends faster than the competition, make rapid decisions and be agile enough to create new business models.

If a business design is faulty or built on old assumptions, no amount of fixing or patching will do any good for competing in the digital economy. It has been widely accepted that the survival of a company depends on its ability to anticipate, gauge and respond to changing customer demands in a timely manner.
